Thanks for visiting our site. We figured this might be the easiest way to update everyone on the progress of our new home.

For those that still don't know, we sold our starter townhome back in October. With the market the way it was, we were told we'd be lucky if we sold in six months. To everyone's suprise, we were out of our house a month later! Since early November, we've been living in a one bedroom apartment near our old home. We shopped around in Urbana, a town about 10 minutes north of Germantown, and purchased a new home in the Villages of Urbana, a brand new community up there. We've been patiently waiting for the rest of our unit to fill up so construction can begin.

Preconstruction Meeting March 2007


The time finally came! We met with our realtor and project manager for our preconstruction meeting! We went through the layouts and made sure everything made sense, and found out construction finally began! As you can see from the pictures, we have a foundation! Our footers and support beams are poured and we're looking forward to the end of the week which is when our slabs and basement walls should also be down.
